Colombian Client Working For More Than 20 Years Giving A New Life To Plastic

PQA, Andean Chemical Products, is a group of manufacturing companies with more than 30 years of experience and leadership in the manufacture of coextruded and multilayer plastic films for applications in the Aquaculture, Agroindustrial, Environmental, Commercial, Construction, Engineering, Energy, Hydrocarbons, Industrial, Food and Mining. They currently have five production plants with accredited laboratories in Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru; two recycling plants in Colombia and Ecuador; two large distribution warehouses in Chile and Colombia; and several strategic alliances with authorized distributors to cover the needs of its national and international clients.

They are always aware of their environmental responsibility long before this was the norm. For more than 20 years, our client PQA has been committed to a circular economy. That is why it has two recycling plants for greenhouse plastic. These plants are located in Manizales, Colombia and Quito, Ecuador. They have collaborated with their clients to close the life cycle of plastic from the beginning. They are faithful believers that plastic is more than a problem, it is a solution. We believe together that plastic not only can, but should be recycled.
So, since 2017, Aceretech and PQA began the cooperation to offer turnkey solutions for the recycling of plastic films, especially in this case, greenhouse plastic. Within a year, Aceretech offered 2 complete washing and pelletizing lines for its plants in Manizales and Quito, with productions of 15 tons/day.
With the recovered plastics already in the form of pellets, they are reused in making the black films, giving the plastic a new life.

And in the past year 2021, PQA confirmed the project to expand its recycling sector, and we offer you a recycling line with 24ton/day production, from crushing, grinding, washing, drying to pelletizing. This increase in investment is an act of responsibility of a large producer of plastics for the environment, and is a good demonstration of its social responsibility and a good example for other plastics manufacturers.
