I. Project Background
A professional recycling company in Europe invested in a new high-capacity pre-processing system to expand its production capability.
The customer is an experienced recycler already operating European-made equipment. Due to increasing material intake, the company required a robust 4 tons/hour shredding and crushing system capable of handling highly abrasive and heterogeneous materials.
II. Material Characteristics & Technical Challenges

The processing materials include:
* PET bottle bricks, packed with iron wire, containing sediment
* PP/PE rigid plastics
* Film materials up to 50% of total input
This combination presents multiple engineering challenges:
* Severe abrasive wear caused by sand and mineral impurities
* Mixed rigid and flexible materials increasing load fluctuation
* High film ratio causing material wrapping risks
* Requirement for continuous high-throughput operation
The customer required a durable, stable, and heavy-duty system capable of long-term industrial performance.
After detailed evaluation, ACERETECH supplied a customized high-capacity pre-processing line consisting of:
* XS3000 Heavy-Duty Shredder
* GHF800/1200 Crusher
* Designed throughput: 4 tons per hour
This configuration ensures effective primary size reduction followed by uniform secondary crushing, preparing material for downstream washing and recycling processes.

IV. Key Engineering Upgrade – Rotor Cladding Technology

After order confirmation, ACERETECH implemented a significant technical upgrade at no additional cost:
The shredder rotor was upgraded with hard-facing cladding technology, dramatically enhancing wear resistance under high-abrasion conditions.
Performance Improvement:
* Shredder rotor lifetime increased by approximately 5 times
* Fixed knife seat lifetime increased by approximately 2 times
To ensure long-term quality control, ACERETECH has invested in dedicated cladding equipment. All future shredder orders will be upgraded with this advanced surface treatment process.
This upgrade significantly reduces maintenance frequency and long-term operational cost for customers processing abrasive materials.
V. Production Status
The system is currently in structured manufacturing according to project schedule.
Close technical communication is maintained with the customer to ensure precise engineering alignment and performance expectations for this high-capacity installation.
VI. Project Significance
This project represents:
* Entry into a mature European recycling market
* Delivery of a 4 T/H heavy-duty customized system
* Advancement of wear-resistant technology in shredding applications
With the implementation of rotor cladding technology, ACERETECH strengthens its position in supplying durable solutions for high-abrasion recycling environments.
